Planning Your Doggy Day Care Fencing
If you have a fencing and gate plan with measurements, please email it to us and we can help work out the required panel and gate sizes for your project.
Important – Gate Size
The gate is manufactured 20mm smaller than the opening, providing 10mm clearance on each side.
Example:

Opening = 1000mm

Gate size = 980mm
When completing the Gap Box, please enter the gate size required after allowing for the 20mm clearance.
A minimum of 15mm clearance beneath the gate is also required for correct operation.
Posts
Our gate posts are 75mm x 75mm square.
Depending on your installation, you can choose:
No Posts
- If you are replacing an existing panel or using suitable existing posts.
1 x Post

If the gate is being fitted at the end of an existing fencing run where you already have one suitable post.
2 x Posts
- If the gate is being installed separately from the fencing, or into an opening where two new posts are required.
Latch Options
The latch available depends on the height of the gate and how you need to access it.
Gates below 1200mm high:
- No Latch
- Metal Thumb Latch
- Single Gravity Latch
Gates 1500mm high and above:
- No Latch
- Double Locking Gravity Latch – opens from both sides
For gates 1500mm high and above where the gate only needs to be operated or secured from one side, you can use a Single Lockable Gravity Latch or Pad Bolts from our Fixings & Accessories range.
Installation
The gate is supplied pre-assembled, but it will need to be hung once the posts and fencing are installed.
The hinges and latch are not pre-fitted. This allows the gate to be correctly positioned and adjusted to suit the individual installation and ground conditions.
