Tekplas PVC Fencing Aftercare Guide To keep your Tekplas fencing looking fresh and performing well, we recommend carrying out maintenance twice a year – once at the start of spring and again at the end of summer.
Step 1: General Cleaning
- Hose down the fencing to remove surface dirt and grit.
- Wash thoroughly with hot soapy water and a soft sponge. This removes build-up from winter weather or heavy rainfall.
Step 2: PVC Surface Treatment
- Once dry, use a PVC solvent cleaner to restore the finish. We highly recommend Everbuild PVC Solvent Cleaner for best results.
- Spray directly onto the fencing and wipe with a clean cloth. This helps maintain the appearance, especially for coloured fencing, by protecting against fading from UV exposure. It takes many years of full sunlight, but following these steps will help to prevent this happening.
Why Maintain Your PVC Fencing?
Unlike timber, PVC won’t rot, absorb water, or dry out and split during the summer months. It also won’t need repainting like traditional wooden fencing,
saving you time and ongoing maintenance costs. With just a small amount of care, your Tekplas fencing will continue to look great and perform well for many years to come.
